We cannot continue to hide our faith. We are meant to be salt and light. Flavour the earth, preserve the good, shine a light on the evil and be a beacon that guides others to Truth and freedom. Speak out, be obvious. Live transparently, sincerely, in the open.
We cannot hide our faith.
There is a cost to proclaiming Christ, to living as God would have us live. It's worth it, even though it's scary.
It's scary to think about the potential cost of speaking up about what we truly believe, of sharing the Truth we know from Scripture. We can lose friends, we can lose income. There are always consequences for our behaviour.
But if we are not sharing the gospel with those around us, we aren't truly living our faith. And that is what the Beatitudes point us towards.
It can be hard to know what to say when presented with confusing situations. But pray for wisdom and for the words you need. Holy Spirit will guide your tongue.
