    CDs
    clothes

  • Cut back on
    TV
    Idle computering

  1. Care for Creation
    I will be more careful for creation in these ways... (eg recycling, keeping a bird table, eat meat only twice a week, walking to work)

  • Environmental awareness
    Recycling
    Birdfeeder, especially in winter
    Gardening
    Walking to Safeway a couple of times a week instead of driving once

  1. Healing Fragmented People and Communities
    I will seek to mend these broken relationships (personal)... (corporate)...

    Friends who have alienated me
    Friends whom I have alienated

    People from high school

  • Heal corporate relationships by returning to
    TEC events (on a semi-regular basis)

  1. Openness to God's Spirit
    I will: take time to listen to God's Spirit at these times...; seek to move out of my comfort zone into these unexplored areas of life...

  • Listening to God
    Morning Prayer, 6.30 a.m.
    Evening Prayer, 11.00 p.m.

  • Move out of the Comfort Zone
    Into public speaking
    Into prayer ministry
    Into counseling
    Into public ministry

  1. Unity
    I will weave together these separated strands of Christianity... in these ways...

  • Unifying the worldwide Church, the Anglican Communion, the Anglican Church of Canada, the parishes in which I find myself
    Speak out about Truth, to remind others of where their hope and salvation truly lies

  1. Mission
    I will take these actions of mercy... almsgiving... peace making... faith-sharing...

  • Mercy
    Mercy grows out of grace; as I am called to offer God's grace to the world (that undeserved gift), so mercy must naturally be the result

  • Almsgiving
    Tithing to Holy Trinity
    Giving, where possible, to ministries to which I am drawn

  • Peacemaking
    Avoid being drawn into arguments
    Remain objective, and help others to see both sides of an issue

  • Faith-sharing
    Live in a way that is pleasing to God, as that is the best, most visible sign of a living faith
    Talk about that faith whenever the opportunity presents itself, without fear of judgement

I make a covenant to uphold the following values, as defined by the actions and attitudes listed below them, depending on Christ as He walks beside me, trusting the Father as He guides me, and believing the Spirit as He hides me from unnecessary danger.

  1. Faith in God.
    the Creed;
    knowledge that He is guiding my path;
    trust Him for everything.

  2. Prayer
    talk to God constantly;
    listen/look for His voice.

  3. Serving
    serve others to serve God;
    do not decline a job because it is menial.

  4. Solitude
    take necessary alone-time every day;
    solitary worship.

  5. Freedom of Expression
    acceptance of how others choose to express themselves;
    no inhibitions on my part.

  6. Joy
    the kind that comes with the Peace that passes all understanding.

  7. Personal Connection
    with God, through meaningful dialogue;
    with others, by listening and sharing.

  8. Honesty
    avoid lying or 'needing' to lie about things;
    living in an honest manner;
    not hiding my self.

  9. Encouragement
    building others up through my words and actions;
    building myself up through my thoughts and deeds.

  10. Knowledge
    knowledge of facts and other things stored in my brain;
    knowledge of people and other things stored in my heart.

I make a covenant to fill my purpose as stated below, depending on Christ as He walks beside me, trusting the Father as He guides me, and believing the Spirit as He hides me from unnecessary danger.

My purpose is to make personal connections with all people, that I might educate them, that society may become more accepting and supportive of all individuals.

May everything I do be to the glory of God, that He might become known through me and His purposes be fulfilled in the lives of those to whom I minister.
