Dreaming...

Scott Wesley Brown has a song called "Where Are the Dreamers". The chorus goes, Where are the dreamers and prophets, I pray? Where is Elijah, who stands unafraid? Where are the heroes, the pillars of faith? Where are the dreamers today? (I think I got that right. I'll check and change it tomorrow if I did it wrong.)

Tonight, I'm asking, too.

Where are you?

Where are the dreamers, the prophets, the heroes? Where are those who stand up for what is right and don't back down out of fear?

The world needs more of these.

God, make me a dreamer, a prophet, a hero. Let me stand firm when all around me is falling to pieces. As Traced Image says in their song "Be Like Jesus," The world may fail, but Your love prevails. I need to be, I need to be like Jesus. Let me be like You, Lord. Let me be like Esther, like Christ, like David and Job. Let me be like Peter. Let me stand true to You, so that I am able to say at the end of my life, with joy and gladness in my eyes and in my voice, that I was able to trust in You when it seemed like You had left me alone.
