I've said this before, and I'll say it again:
They never had to make a show about the things kids say that was done in a studio - all they had to do was go and tape children's talks at churches.
A couple of gems from this morning:
We had a guest priest, Bishop Gary Woolsey, who is retired but still able to perform the sacraments. He was talking to the kids about lights and batteries and how rechargeables are better than the kind you have to throw away, because you don't have to buy as many.
Then he said the kids are like a flashlight. Meaning, of course, that they have a "battery" that can be recharged by God.
"Why do you think I think you're like a flashlight?"
"Because my eyes go on and off."
And then (some people don't learn too quickly, do they?) he wanted to get across the idea of being recharged by God.
"What should you do if you start to feel a little dim?"
"Take a nap or go to sleep."
I love kids!
